A field,
a kiln,
some mud.
Kilnfield started in 2016 when we bought a tumbledown stone barn on the edge of the North York Moors and spent eighteen months turning it into a working pottery. A wheel in one corner, a wood kiln in the garden, and a little room upstairs where we pack orders.
"We wanted to make things that people would use every day, for years, without ever getting bored of them."
Everything you see here is hand-thrown by us (Alice and Sam), fired in batches, and glazed with recipes we've mixed in the studio. When you buy something you're buying a real object made by two people who thought about it for a long time.
